Joshua T. Goldsmith, California Worker's Compensation Defense Attorney




Joshua T. Goldsmith is an associate attorney with Siegel, Moreno & Stettler. He began practicing workers’ compensation law as an Applicant’s attorney in Cincinnati, Ohio after graduating from law school in 2006. Since his move to California in 2008, he has been practicing in workers’ compensation with an emphasis on professional athletic claims. He has served as the lead attorney on over 500 sport-related workers’ compensation claims. He remains a member of the Ohio Bar Association, in addition to practicing as a member of the California Bar Association.


While in Ohio, Mr. Goldsmith argued successfully in front of the 10th District Court of Appeals and submitted briefs to the Ohio Supreme Court. Since practicing in California, he has successfully litigated hundreds of claims from opening to closing, settling hundreds of cases and preparing dozens more for trial at the WCAB.

Mr. Goldsmith graduated magna cum laude as a William T. Young Scholar from Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky with a B.A. in English Literature and minor in Art History. He studied Art History at Cambridge University in England as an ESU Scholarship recipient. He obtained a J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law where he was a four-time member of the Dean’s List and an Arthur Russell Morgan Fellow in International Human Rights. While in law school, he clerked at The Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati on the housing and family law teams, and interned at an environmental NGO in Bangkok, Thailand.
